Pest control is a very rewarding profession. There is great satisfaction in solving people’s problems and allaying their fears – especially to do so before they even happen. Every infestation is different: from hunting down elusive brown rats to outwitting herring gulls, to investigating swarming grain beetles. The ingenuity of pests can be impressive.
I am fascinated by pests, but having experienced housefly-borne viral dysentery first-hand, I am also acutely aware of the harm they can cause. I have learnt a huge amount about them over the years and, like every active pest controller, I am still learning every day. My aim is to share my knowledge, ideas and enthusiasm for pest management.
